Ditmas Park

Ditmas Park is a neighborhood in Brooklyn (part of Brooklyn Community Board 17) bordering Prospect Park and Flatbush.

One of three neighborhoods in the Flatbush area to receive an official Historic District designation, Ditmas Park is a predominantly residential area consisting of many large, free-standing turn of the century Victorian homes. Affordable real estate options include many detached single family homes, row houses and large apartment buildings, which have made the neighborhood a hit with younger residents. While a slew of hip amenities may have popped up in their wake, Ditmas Park has managed to maintain its established residential atmosphere in spite of the recent spike in attention. Service by the Q and B trains, as well as its picturesque tree-lined streets, make Ditmas Park a highly attractive option for many potential residents.
