Prospect Heights

Prospect Heights is a neighborhood located in Brooklyn (part of Brooklyn Community Board 8) bordering Prospect Park, Park Slope, Crown Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Fort Greene.

Known for its cultural diversity and leafy, tree-lined streets, Prospect Heights is a quiet neighborhood that is seeing more and more young professionals migrating to the area to escape the increasing rents of Park Slope. This has led to the creation of a thriving commercial district along Vanderbilt Avenue, which is now home to a number of trendy bars, restaurants and specialty stores. Nineteenth-century townhomes and brownstones comprise the bulk of residential offerings in Prospect Heights, with a smattering of older apartments and new condominium developments making appearances infrequently, and residents can enjoy easy access to transportation thanks to the nearby 2, 3, 4, 5 and Q trains.
